Copper Air batteries

Is it possible to create a copper-air battery with an acid electrolyte like they do with zinc-air? When the copper oxidized during discharge, it would react with the acid to produce a salt like copper chloride, which would then be electroplated out to recharge, producing copper and the original acid.

I remember vaugely that I estimated the theoretical energy density to be around half that of li-ion, if it worked. In any case it's an interestng idea.
